Before I'll present you this defensive skill build for the Barbarian in Diablo 3, lets talk a bit about this class. The Barbarian is a versatile character because of his big starting hp and strength which can be an advantage because you will get more hp as you level up and having a big starting hp mean you can tank easily through the game. The question is what path you want to go on because the Barbarian can be quite offensive and defensive as well, but each build has advantages and disadvantages but in this article I will try to explain what`s are the advantages and disadvantages of this Barbarian defensive build.
Active Skill List:
1. Cleave - Swing your weapon in a wide arc to deal 120% weapon damage to all enemies caught in the swing. + Gathering Storm rune.
2. Seismic Slam - Slam the ground to cause a wave of destruction that deals 155% weapon damage and knockback to targets in a 45 yard arc plus Stagger rune.
3. Leap - Leap into the air, dealing 85% weapon damage to all enemies within 8 yards of your destination. plus Death from above rune.
4. Revenge - Revenge has a 15% chance to become active each time you are hit, Inflict 220% weapon damage to all nearby enemies. You heal 5.0% of your maximum Life for each enemy hit + Provocation rune.
5. Threatening Shout - Shout with great ferocity, reducing damage done by enemies within 25 yards by 20% for 15 seconds + Falter rune
6. Call of the ancients - Summon the ancient barbarians Talic, Korlic, and Madawc to inflict 60% weapon damage with each attack as they join the battle for 15 seconds
Passive Skill List:
1. Brawler - As long as there are 5 enemies within 8 yards, all of your damage is increased by 30%.
2. Bloodthirst - Gain 3% of all damage done as Life.
3. Ruthless - Critical hit chance increased by 5%, Critical hit damage increased by 50%.
Advantages of this Barbarian build in Diablo 3:
- Good armor
- Decent dps
- Best for Inferno
- You can easily get away from death situations
- Really hard to die
- Mobile
Disadvantages of this Barbarian build:
- Heavily dependent on gear
- Decent to low dps
- Not so good for solo
